About Boba Baba

Tea cafe serving craft drinks, brewed from premium loose leaf tea, and sweets made in-house daily.

Boba Baba is a cafe in Cary, North Carolina. It is listed at 12102 Bradford Green Square, Cary, NC 27513, which places it among the local businesses of Cary that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11:30 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (984) 465-0302. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, bobababacafe.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.8 out of 5 from 1,756 reviews, which is a strong result for a cafe in Cary and suggests consistent service.

Cary is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Cary follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Really amazing place. Staff were super friendly and got everything in our order correct. Mochi donuts and cream puffs were delicious Very focused on being a select tea-house instead of just the generic boba place. They have amazing single origin teas and their new matcha brand is delicious and the owners are very passionate about it (catch them at the NC State Farmers Market)! Very much enjoy this place, wish they had a location in Durham!

Came here the other day with some friends! I got the iced Ube Latte with brown sugar boba. SOOO good and I don’t even care for boba! Also got an oreo matcha mochi donut. Pretty good! Not too sweet, good texture! Sat inside with my friends and hung out for an hour or two and honestly had a good time! Staff were friendly and patient.

Hands down one of the best tea shops in the triangle. Really wish they had a location in Raleigh as I would be a more frequent customer. I tried the strawberry matcha latte size large 100/10. Perfect sweetness, not too much ice, can taste the authentic flavor of the matcha. Definitely impressed with the fact that they made matcha fresh and the proper way unlike other tea shops I have visited. The strawberry mochi donut was also a 100/10. Perfect level of sweetness and very satisfying. The ambience was very nice and sitting area for guests to enjoy their drinks and sweets was welcoming. I can’t wait to go back. They also sell matcha and assortment of teas, even offering samples for the day. Highly recommend 😊 Edit: came back on 6/2. They are consistent ordered a strawberry matcha drink asked them to adjust the sweetness slightly and it came out perfectly. Still continue the original technique and ordered a lemon lavender mochi donut and it was yummy!

If you’re looking for fresh, high-quality boba and mochi donuts, Boba Baba is definitely worth checking out. The mochi donuts are always soft, chewy, and taste incredibly fresh, never stale or overly sweet. My favorite flavors are ube, pandan, and black sesame, but honestly you can’t go wrong with any of them. The drinks are also really good, especially if you know what you like. They focus more on natural flavors, so don’t expect super artificial, sugary fruit tastes. For example, their strawberry drinks taste like real fruit, not candy. They used to have a drink called the Iron Goddess that I loved, but I still keep coming back for the roasted banana milk and the Vietnamese coffee which both are consistently great. The service is always warm and friendly, and the staff makes the place feel welcoming. There’s usually plenty of space to sit and get work done, which I really appreciate. Parking is free and easy to find, which is a huge plus. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place if you want something fresh, unique, and consistently good.

We always enjoy stopping at Boba Baba when in the area. (Still sad they closed the Charlotte location) our favorites are the HK milk tea with boba and Butterfly Fresca with some lychee for hot summer days.
